Optics Valley convention center gets ICCA membership

China Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center, which is located at East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, has recently passed the assessment of the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) and is now a member of it.
The convention center is the first venue in Wuhan to have joined the ICCA, whose members will enjoy more international business and training opportunities.
Established in 1963, ICCA is based in Amsterdam, and is one of the most important organizations in the world dedicated to the meetings industry.
It currently has more than 1,000 companies and members in over 90 countries and regions, with over 60 members in China, including the China National Convention Center, Shanghai International Convention Center, and Beijing International Convention Center.
Covering exhibition areas measuring over 20,000 square meters, China Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center started operations in June 2017 and has since held more than 50 large-scale exhibitions and meetings.
In recent years, Optics Valley has been working to become an international center for technological innovation, hosting many large-scale events such as the China Bioindustry Convention and Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Exposition and Forum.
In addition to helping develop the zone's companies, hosting events will also drive the growth of the zone's hotels, restaurants, shopping, tourism and other industries.
It is expected that over the next three years, the zone will host nearly 80 professional exhibitions and around 360 meetings.
