Optics Valley Chinese Sci-Tech City has a planned area of about 218 square kilometers. It was launched with approval of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council to be used as the main area undertaking projects signed at each Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China and as the conference’s permanent venue.

Sci-Tech city, which is also the core of the Dream Incubator of Overseas Chinese in Hubei province, is committed to becoming an innovation and entrepreneurship center for overseas Chinese — and then building that into a prime brand.

The park, nestled near a mountain and lake, is designed to become an ecological focal point featuring new types of service industries.

The park focuses on the development of five high-end service industries: integrated cultural and technological services, ecotourism, general aviation, international business and commerce, and innovation.
