Wuhan Open concludes in Optics Valley

The 2017 WTA (Women's Tennis Association) Wuhan Open concluded at Optics Valley International Tennis Centre in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei province on Sept 30. 

Caroline Garcia of France was crowned as the winner of the singles final, and the US Open champions Martina Hingis and Yung-Jan Chan won the doubles final.

Garcia defeated Australia’s Ashleigh Barty and won the biggest title of her career. Martina Hingis and Yung-Jan Chan defeated Zhaoxuan Yang of China and Shuko Aoyama of Japan, winning their first doubles title at Wuhan Open.

From 2014 to 2028, the Wuhan Open is set to be held annually each September, while this year’s competition was held from Sept 22-30.
