Shenzhen Zhicheng Semiconductor Materials Co (Zhicheng Semiconductor), a leading Chinese semiconductor components company, signed an agreement on Oct 28 to establish a research and production base in the Wuhan East Lake Free Trade Zone, located within Optics Valley of China (OVC).

The new facility aims to boost the company's production capacity and enhance its research and development capabilities, further strengthening OVC's semiconductor supply chain and promoting collaboration across upstream and downstream sectors. It will also support the development of an optoelectronic integration industry cluster in the zone.

Founded in 2017, Zhicheng Semiconductor is a platform-based enterprise specializing in core semiconductor components and recognized by national standards as a "Little Giant" for its specialization and innovation. Headquartered in Shenzhen, the company has established partnerships with over 300 leading industry clients, focusing on essential semiconductor processes, and serving sectors such as optoelectronics, power, and memory chips.

In recent years, Zhicheng Semiconductor has increased its R&D investment, focusing on localizing critical semiconductor components. The company actively advances product development and commercialization, with some products already integrated into the supply chains of leading domestic semiconductor equipment and chip manufacturing companies.
