A team led by Academician Yin Zhouping from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) has established Wuhan Huilike Robotics Co in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC). 

The company aims to transform Vision-Language-Interaction (VLI) model technology by integrating it into bionic humanoid robots, creating physical AI avatars for experts across various fields.

The Huilike team has developed a VLI model capable of processing multiple forms of information simultaneously. This enables robots to learn the knowledge and behavioral patterns of sector-specific experts, allowing them to mimic actions, language, and facial expressions for deep multimodal interaction with humans.

The team’s wheeled humanoid robots equipped with VLI are currently undergoing real-world testing. The robots are assisting teachers in providing personalized tutoring to students in universities and serving as "guide doctors" in hospitals by directing patients to specific departments and offering medical advice.

Team members agreed that OVC offers a mature robotics supply chain, providing them with rent-free premises, policy incentives, and financial support. Backed by this supportive environment, the team plans to continue refining both its software models and humanoid robot hardware, with mass production of its bionic humanoid robots set to commence within the year.
