OVC expands commercial space sector network
The Optics Valley of China (OVC) Qingtonghui Ultra Commercial Space Special Event took place on Aug 8, featuring presentations from eight commercial space project leaders from across the country. Investors provided on-the-spot feedback, resulting in all projects securing intended financing. This marks a significant expansion of OVC's commercial space sector network.
The projects showcased at the event spanned a range of specialized fields, including rocket engines, satellite manufacturing, inter-satellite laser communication, Beidou navigation, and space traffic management, effectively linking the entire industry chain.
Commercial space refers to industries that offer space products and services through market-driven approaches. This includes upstream activities like rocket and satellite manufacturing, midstream services such as launches and ground facilities, and downstream operations and application services.
OVC is currently accelerating the development of its aerospace information industry cluster. The zone has already attracted a number of commercial space enterprises, including Mengxin Technology, Tianjihang, and Exsun BD Space Time Technology.
In addition, OVC is providing substantial financial support for industry growth, having invested in over 20 high-quality commercial space companies through existing funds.
Qingtonghui Ultra is a key brand for innovation and entrepreneurship in OVC. Since its inception in 2013, the platform has hosted over 100 events, showcased more than 1,500 projects, and facilitated over 20 billion yuan ($2.97 billion) in corporate financing.
