The OVC honorees include Yangtze Memory Technologies, YaoBangMang, NIO Power, and Weineng Battery. Notably, Yangtze Memory Technologies stands out with a valuation of $22.7 billion, ranking fifth nationally and claiming the title of Wuhan's most valuable unicorn.

OVC has had a consistent presence on various unicorn lists over the past six months. In March, Yangtze Memory Technologies, NIO Energy, Weineng Battery, and YaoBangMang were featured in the "China Unicorn Enterprise Development Report (2026)". By June, Yangtze Memory Technologies and YaoBangMang had also secured spots on the Hurun Research Institute's "Global Unicorn Index 2026".

Unicorns are typically defined as unlisted companies under 10 years old, valued at over $1 billion, and possessing unique core technologies and competitive advantages. These entities serve as vital indicators of regional innovation and industrial competitiveness.

The report released at the conference also revealed that the average "age" of unicorns in China is seven years. Wuhan's eight companies, with an average founding age of seven years, align with the national average, showcasing a robust growth trajectory.
