OVC welcomes Hubei Embodied Intelligence Talent Development Base
The Hubei Embodied Intelligence Talent Development Base was established at the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in Optics Valley of China (OVC) on July 30. This marks the first specialized talent cultivation platform in Hubei that spans all educational stages and the entire industry chain of embodied intelligence.

The base aims to address the structural imbalance between supply and demand for talent in the humanoid robot industry, creating an integrated talent supply ecosystem involving government, industry, academia, research, and application.
At the launch event, nine deans and professors from prestigious institutions such as the PKU-Wuhan Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Wuhan University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology were appointed as the base's first experts.
The event also unveiled the Star Talent Program, which will adhere to a customized training model that allows companies to deeply participate in the entire talent cultivation process, offering students internships, project-based training, and direct employment pathways.
The base will provide varied levels of training and services to different groups, creating a full-cycle talent development chain for embodied intelligence. Initiatives include educational tours and science exchanges for middle and primary school students and the public, as well as hands-on training in robot development and algorithm training for researchers and engineers.
The base plans to expand its network of partner universities and collaborate with leading national robotics companies to build a comprehensive training ecosystem, supporting OVC's mission to become a national hub for embodied intelligence talent.
