The 100th Qingtonghui -- an entrepreneurship promotion conference that started in 2013 -- was held in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (or Optics Valley of China) in central Hubei province on Jan 10.

The organizers said the conference attracted 100 companies to sign up, 15 of which were selected to be showcased. Over 30 leading investment institutions attended the conference.

Two companies were awarded Optics Valley of China's entrepreneurship stars after competition during the conference. Other individuals, investment institutions and incubation platforms were awarded for their contributions to innovation and entrepreneurship.

To date, Qingtonghui conferences have promoted around 1,300 projects and raised 4 billion yuan ($580 million) in total for startups, with over 800 investment institutions attending its events and seeking business opportunities.
