A high-level forum on the chip industry and the National School of Development of Peking University (Wuhan) Forum were held at the China Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on May 15.

As one of the first national high-end think tanks, the National School of Development of Peking University grew out of the former China Center for Economic Research, which was established in 1994.

Around 300 attendees participated in the event, including Yao Yang, director of the National School of Development of Peking University, Ma Xinqiang, chairman of HGTECH, and other experts from Peking University and senior executives from Optics Valley companies.

They discussed current global economic development trends and the driving forces behind Wuhan's growth, as well as how to boost the development of Optics Valley's chip sector.

Chen Ping, director of the administrative committee of Optics Valley, introduced and promoted the zone at the event.

Optics Valley has always been committed to boosting its chip industry and has made innovation its top priority, which was highlighted by experts at the event.

During the forum, a Changjiang finance and economics think tank was unveiled, and several experts present at the ceremony were appointed members, including Yao Yang and Xie Yuande, chairman of Shenglong Electric in Optics Valley.
