New Optics Valley metro service set for October
The first phase of the eastern section of Wuhan Metro Line 11 will be put into service in October, according to recent news reports.
The project is the first metro line section funded by East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, central China's Hubei province, and was constructed by Wuhan Metro Group.
Running from Optics Valley Railway Station to Zuoling Station, the section covers a distance of 19.8 kilometers with 13 stations.
According to the results of a recent trial run, the trip takes about half an hour one way.
