Optics Valley firm establishes academic workstation
Wuhan Winsse Security Technology, an intelligent service provider based in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China), has recently signed a cooperation agreement with Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), to establish an academician workstation.
The workstation will be led by Zhang Lianmeng, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a chief professor in materials science at WUT, and director of the Key Lab for Special Functional Materials, which belongs to the Ministry of Education.
The team will give long-term and multi-level technical guidance to the development of the company’s new materials sector, and help enhance expand the innovation capacity of the company.
The two sides have already cooperated in the industrialization of the lightweight high-strength microcellular foam plastics project.
Optics Valley of China is currently home to 24 academician workstations, accounting for 38 percent of the city’s total.
The establishment of academician workstations not only promotes the technological innovation and transformation of companies, but also cultivates high-level professionals.
