The concluding meeting of the 10th China Bioindustry Convention and opening meeting of the 11th China Bioindustry Convention was held in Beijing on Feb 3, at which Biolake in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) was confirmed as the host for the 11th convention.

Wuhan and Guangzhou were designated as the permanent venues of China Bioindustry Convention, and will take turns to host the event.

Liu Ziqing, director of Optics Valley of China, addressed the meeting and said that the zone would use the convention as a platform to propel development of the bio industry. Feng Li, chief engineer of the zone’s management committee, introduced the latest preparations for the convention.

China Bioindustry Convention is the largest, most important and most influential event in the country’s bioindustry.

The 11th China Bioindustry Convention and the third Bio-expo are to be held at China Optics Valley Convention and Exhibition Center from May 25-27, with a focus on the integration of medical resources in the development of the bio-health industry.

More than 20 forums are expected to be held during the event, with the exhibition area totaling 20,000 square meters. Experts from all over the world in the bioindustry will gather in Optics Valley of China, to promote the development of the sector.
