Optics Valley starts 14 projects worth 30 billion yuan

East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, central China’s Hubei province, started construction of 14 major projects worth 29.8 billion yuan ($4.52 billion) on Oct 11.

Since 2016, the zone has propelled the construction of a large number of industrial projects, including national memory base, small and medium-sized display panel base, mobile intelligent terminal base, and national biological industry base, attracting investment of more than 50 billion yuan.

The 14 projects in Optics Valley of China all have features of high-tech and mid-to high-end.

For instance, Wuhan Fenjin Intelligent Machine Co Ltd, an innovative high-tech company, invested to build an R&D and manufacturing base for industrial robots. After the project is completed, 10,000 industrial robots will be manufactured annually, with an output value of two billion yuan.    

FiberHome Fujikura Optic-Fiber Technology Co Ltd, whose main business is production and sales of optical fiber preforms, invested in the zone to build the third phase of an R&D and manufacturing base for optical fiber preforms.

Wuhan Jinyu Free Trade Development Co Ltd, a company with a complete bonded logistics chain, invested to build a professional intelligent logistics park in the zone.
