Xiaomi, a leading maker of smart phones, opened a Mi Home store in East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, Hubei province on Oct 1.

The store is located on the first floor of the World City, being the fourth retail store in Wuhan to offer consumers the full Xiaomi experience, including product displays, consulting and selling.

Almost all of the Xiaomi products are available in the store, including Mi phones, Mi laptops, air purifiers, portable power sources and floor-sweeping robots. Xiaomi’s new products will simultaneously be available in the store and online.

As a representative of new retail mode, Mi Home stores offer consumers an open shopping experience. Consumers can buy the accessories that are placed on the shelves directly after sampling them, without any guidance of the store employees.

On June 29 this year, Xiaomi set up its Wuhan headquarters in Optics Valley of China.

According to the agreement signed by the two sides, Xiaomi will introduce projects covering areas of “black technology”, retailing, internationalization, artificial intelligence and internet finance. In addition, Xiaomi will also set up its Wuhan selling headquarters in the Optics Valley.
