The Fourth Optics Valley Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum (CBEC 2017) opened at Optics Valley in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province on Sept 8.

With a theme of making new business connections and promoting growth, the forum discussed the innovative connective model of cross-border cooperation.

The event was jointly supported by the Department of Commerce of Hubei province and Wuhan municipal government.

Former vice-minister of commerce Wei Jianguo, and former Chilean president Eduardo Frei, attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches.

The annual forum, which was launched in 2014, is one of China’s most globally-representative cross-border e-commerce forums. The president of Chile’s Bío Bío Region, the Chilean ambassador to China and delegates from Chilean companies also attended the forum for the first time.

The forum attracted well-known overseas e-commerce platforms from Brazil, Germany, India, the United States and other countries, including globally-famous B2B platform Tradekey, cross-border B2C platform eBay, Chile’s B2B platform Yeatrade, and India’s large e-commerce platform TradeIndia.

Winliner, a cross-border e-commerce platform based in Wuhan, signed a cooperation agreement with Wuhan First City, a high-tech park focusing on software and IT service industries, to build a global cross-border e-commerce operations base in China.

Winliner also signed agreements with Chile’s Bío Bío Region and companies including Hubei’s Prosperity Investment and Beijing’s E-business Valley, to promote the growth of cross-border e-commerce.

The second County-level Economy Cross-border E-commerce Forum (2017) and Cross-border E-commerce Purchase Match-up Meeting were held on Sept 9. Sub-forums were held in cities including Changsha, Hunan province from Sept 11.
