Optics Valley holds forum for young cadres
A forum for young cadres was held for the first time in Donghu High-Tech Development Zone (Optics Valley) in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Aug 5. More than 400 young cadres attended the meeting and 15 of them gave their suggestions for development of Optics Valley.
Optics Valley is bursting with young, creative types, with the average age under 30. These young people have made significant contributions to the zone's growth.
On the management committee of Donghu High-Tech Development Zone, around one third of cadres are under 35.
The year 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the special zone, and the forum was themed on reviewing the experience of the past three decades of development.
Optics Valley will regularly hold such meetings during the first weekend of every even-numbered month.
